Prostate Disease
Prostate Disease
The prostate is a gland that sits just under the bladder, it produces seminal fluid ( the fluid that sperm are ejaculated in) As men get older the prostate usually gets bigger, as it does this it can affect urination. There are several investigations we do on men with prostate disease including the PSA blood test, there are also several treatments for benign prostate disease if your symptoms are too troublesome. If you are getting symptoms of prostrate disease please book a phone call with one of our team.
Symptoms of prostate disease can be:
– Poor urinary stream,
– Difficulty starting urination,
– Dribbling at the end of urination,
– Sometimes it also affects the bladder to make men pass urine more frequently or with more urgency to go.
If you ever pass blood in your urine please book a call with a doctor as soon as possible, it is often due to an infection but it can be from prostate or bladder cancer.
Erectile Dysfunction
Erectile Dysfunction
Erectile dysfunction is common in men, this can be from physical or psychological problems. It is more common in men as they get older and if they have diabetes or high blood pressure. However if you are experiencing problems with erectile dysfunction there are many options to help treat you and we are more than happy for you to book a phone call with one of our team.
Depression
Depression
Depression can go undiagnosed in men because the symptoms don’t always align with what they might expect. Men sometimes experience depression as anger or irritability rather than sadness. They’re also more likely to sweep these feelings under the rug. If you suspect you are suffering from depression, take the first step by booking a phone call with one of our team.

This should include eating a balanced diet with fruits and veggies, quitting smoking, staying active, reducing stress and taking medications as instructed by your healthcare provider. If you are over 45 you are entitled to a free NHS health check. Please contact us to enquire about this.
