Antenatal care is provided by the local Midwives at a number of venues. Our receptionists will provide you with more information upon request

Baby Clinic/Immunisations

The local Health Visitors run regular "Well Baby" clinics at various locations in the area. They will provide you with further information or you can contact them on 01562 820091

Appointments for Childhood Immunisations clinic  can be made Monday to Friday with our Practice Nurse.

Respiratory Clinic (Asthma/COPD)

Tracey Fox and Beverley Rose run our respiratory clinics in conjunction with Dr Jackson, by appointment.

Diabetic and Glucose Intolerance Clinics

Dr Blanchard and Dr Osborne run our Diabetic and Glucose Intolerance clinics. You will be advised when your check up is due and asked to have your blood tests prior to your appointment.

Healthy Heart Clinic

This clinic monitors patients with Raised Blood Pressure, Coronary Heart Disease and history of Stroke or TIA. Patients will be asked to have blood tests taken prior to this annual check-up and these will be reviewed by the Nurse during the appointment.

Our Practice Nurses are able to undertake cervical smears, provide Family Planning advice and carry out HRT checks.

The Primary Care Trust screening department will write to you to advise when your cervical screening test is due. Routine screening is carried out every 3 years from age 25 to 50 and every 5 years from 50 to 65. You may be screened more frequently in certain circumstances.

Minor Surgery

We are able to carry out certain minor surgical procedures at the surgery, including cryotherapy. You will be referred to this clinic by one of the Doctors or Nurses if it is appropriate to do so.

Travel Immunisations

Please make an appointment with the Practice Nurse well in advance of your holiday to ensure adequate cover. There may be a charge for certain immunisations, which are not covered by the NHS. Details of current charges are available from the Receptionist or Practice Nurse.

Flu/Pneumococcal vaccination

Influenza vaccination is recommended for all patients with Heart lung or kidney disease, Diabetes, Asthma and other respiratory problems and those with a weak immune system. In addition people in long-stay residential accommodation and all patients over the age of 65 are eligible for the Influenza vaccination.  Pneumoccocal vaccination will also be offered in accordance with current Department of Health Guidelines.

Dental problems

Please do not consult your doctor with dental problems. Like doctors, dentists provide out of hours cover and if you have a dental problem you should contact your normal dentist. If you are not registered with a dentist you may use the emergency dental service – please telephone 01562 864949 for details of this service
